How is the Qibla direction calculated?
It is the direction of the shortest path on the globe from where you stand to the Kaaba in Makkah, measured as an angle from true north. The formula and a table for major cities are on the Qibla page.
Where can I check how prayer times are calculated?
Each method has its own page with the angles, the Isha rule, the Asr setting, the regions that use it and its sources. Start at prayer time methods.
What is Alif Yolu?
Alif Yolu is one verse a day, read closely: the verse, a look at one word, a short reflection, one small step and a Qur’anic dua. The first day is free; every day after that is part of Alif Pro. Read a day of Alif Yolu.
Where do the Hijri dates come from?
The dates on this site follow Diyanet and the Umm al-Qura calendar, side by side, each with its source. See the Hijri calendar 2026–2028.
