ABOUT THE ARTICLES
Alif Editorial
Alif Editorial is the byline on every article and glossary entry. This page explains what we publish, what we rely on and how each piece is checked.
What we publish
Short readings and plain definitions that explain a text or a term. We explain; we do not give religious rulings, and every page says so.
Sources
- Qur’an: English translation by Talal Itani (ClearQuran), Turkish meal by Diyanet Vakfı. A verse is never retyped: the page inserts it from the dataset exactly as published, with its reference.
- Hadith: only with the collection name, the number and a link, so the wording can be checked.
- Other references: linked, with the date we read them.
How each piece is checked
Our rule: nothing is published before it has passed these checks.
- Every piece lists its sources. The site build refuses to publish a page without them.
- Statements about the Alif app must match a ledger of verified features. Anything unverified is left out.
- The build rejects wording that reads like a ruling, such as calling something obligatory or forbidden.
- A second reviewer, who did not write the piece, checks it against its sources before it goes live.
We use AI tools when drafting; every published piece is checked line by line against its sources and passes an independent review.
